Under the Kevlar

Built to take out the competition.

Engine

Fully forged 7.0L 426 stroker. Direct port nitrous. Ported and polished heads with a candy-cut manifold.

Drivetrain

Paramount NAG1 transmission with a 3,200 stall converter. 1,000 HP half shafts. Carbon fiber driveshaft.

Body

Hood, trunk, spoiler, bumper, fenders, roof, mirrors, A, B and C pillars and side skirts laid in one-off custom molds. Over 1,500 hours. Now 100% twill 2×2 carbon Kevlar.

Paint

Pagan gold candy under four clear coats, bright yellow mesh throughout.

Suspension

KW Variant 2 coilovers, front and rear sway bars, Energy Suspension bushings throughout.

Wheels

Three-piece forged with candy gold spokes, a one-off design that was never put into production.

Interior

Thirty crocodile hides, each shaved, smoothed, dyed honeycomb and glossed. Dry carbon door and seat panels, black suede, yellow billet, full custom stereo.

The story

Day one was SEMA.

2006

Ken buys the first 2007 Charger SRT8 Super Bee sold, from the number one Chrysler dealer in the country, and starts the build with 25 sponsors to debut at SEMA in the Unique Wheels booth.

2008

Joins Team Hybrid. Race, street, show, since 1995. The Bee becomes one of the club's flagship cars in Southern California.

2015

SEMA, representing Team Hybrid in the Amsoil booth.

2017

Six months and 1,500 hours of one-off carbon molds. Every panel remade. Pagan gold candy, four clear coats, yellow mesh.

2024

SEMA again, one of six Team Hybrid cars on the floor, and the only full-frontal yellow carbon Kevlar Dodge Super Bee.

Now

Full 2×2 twill carbon Kevlar body. Not a wrap. Still the most awarded late-model Chrysler or Dodge in the country.
